Students’ Error in Writing Descriptive Text in The Junior High School Viewed from Its Indicators

Students often make mistakes in writing descriptive texts about people, animals, objects, or procedures. When asked the source of error, they did not give a clear answer to question, let alone an explanation error. The purpose this study was analyze types errors made by students and find out why texts. method used is qualitative description. Fifteen seventh-grade junior high school were subjects study. Data collection carried presenting tests write three procedures, focus group interviews on finding mistakes. data based seven indicators writing, namely title, main sentence, significant sentence development, structure, grammar used, word use, ten sources that might cause writing.
